- Warm, freshly cooked foods with ginger, black pepper, tulsi and honey.
- Citrus, amla and vitamin-C rich foods for mucosal immunity.
Daily practices
- Steam inhalation with plain water or a few drops of eucalyptus once a day in cold or polluted weather.
- Warm salt-water gargle in the morning and evening for throat care.
- Nasya â a drop of warm sesame or anu taila in each nostril after a shower (avoid in active cold).
Avoid or limit
- Iced drinks, very cold or refrigerated foods, especially in the evening.
- Long exposure to AC, dry air, dust and pollution without a mask.
