Effective 6 August 2026
Privacy Policy
Written in plain language. It describes only what we actually do today — not what we might do later.
1. Who we are
Omvero Digital, a sole proprietorship owned by Jeetika, trading as The Wisdom Jar.
Address: 704, LH Mallasandra, Bengaluru – 560057, Karnataka, India.
Privacy and data-request contact: hello@wisdomjar.online
Support hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST. Acknowledgement target: Within 2 working days.
This policy applies to wisdomjar.online and any subdomain we operate.
2. Information we collect
You can read almost all of The Wisdom Jar without an account. If you create one, we may hold:
- Name — the name you give at registration or later edit.
- Email address — used to sign in and to contact you.
- Date of birth — used to apply age-based safety filtering.
- Plan choice — Individual or Family.
- Family-member information — the name and date of birth you add for each family profile (up to four), used only for age-appropriate safety filtering and save attribution.
- Saved items — the remedies and ingredients you save to your account.
- Notes and follow-up fields — any short note you add to a saved item.
- Journal information — entries you keep. Some journal features are stored only in your own browser and never reach our servers; account-backed saves are stored with your account.
- Authentication information — session tokens and sign-in metadata handled by our authentication provider. We do not store your password; it is stored in hashed form by the provider.
- Support communications — the emails you send us and our replies.
- Community submissions — a story you choose to submit, and the name you choose to publish it under.
- Payment records — when you buy a Premium plan we hold the payment reference, amount, plan, date and entitlement status. Payments are processed by Razorpay; card and bank details are handled by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.
Please do not send us medical reports, prescriptions, diagnostic results or detailed health history. We do not ask for them and we do not want to hold them.
3. Why we collect it
- Account creation and management — to let you sign in and keep your account working.
- Safety and age filtering — date of birth and family-member ages are used to hide remedies that are not appropriate for that age.
- Saved-content continuity — so your saved items follow you across devices.
- Family-plan functionality — so saves can be attributed to a family profile you created.
- Support and security — to answer your messages, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
- Marketing emails — only if you affirmatively opt in or request them. The consent box is unticked by default and you can withdraw at any time.
- Payments — once enabled, to process a purchase, grant access and meet accounting and tax obligations.
4. Analytics and cookies
We use the cookies and local browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your own preferences. These are essential to the site working.
Google Analytics is planned but is not active. No analytics or advertising tracker is running on this site today. If and when analytics is enabled, we will publish a cookie and analytics notice, update this policy first, and provide the consent or opt-out controls appropriate to the configuration we choose. We will not switch it on silently.
We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising.
5. Who processes data for us
We keep our supplier list short. Today we use:
- Supabase — database, authentication and secure server storage for your account data.
- Resend — sending transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, support acknowledgements).
- Our hosting and deployment provider — serving the website and running server-side functions.
- Razorpay — will be used to process payments once paid Premium is enabled. It is not in use today.
These providers act on our instructions. Some of them may store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's own contractual and security commitments.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures: row-level database access rules so one account cannot read another's data, server-side checks for member-only content, encrypted connections, and restricted administrative access.
No website or online service can promise absolute security, and we do not make that promise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will act on it and notify you where required.
7. Your rights
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or edit it yourself in your account.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw marketing consent — unsubscribe from any marketing email, or write to us.
- Grievance — raise a concern with our proprietor (see the Contact page).
Write to hello@wisdomjar.online from the email address on your account, or use the Account Deletion page. We verify identity before acting on a request so that nobody can affect someone else's account. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it, so deletion cannot be guaranteed in every case.
8. How long we keep information
Our intention is to retain account records and, once payments exist, payment records for one year after the account is closed or the last transaction, unless a longer period is required by applicable law (for example tax and accounting rules). Content you chose to publish publicly, such as an approved community story, may remain published unless you ask us to remove it.
9. Children and age
- The minimum age to create an account independently is 16.
- Users below 18 must have parent or guardian consent before making any payment.
- Child family profiles exist only inside an adult account holder's account and are managed by that adult. We do not create accounts for children.
- Age information is used for safety filtering, not profiling.
10. What we do not claim
We do not claim that this site is absolutely secure, that deletion is guaranteed in every circumstance, that our health content is individually medically reviewed for you, or that analytics is currently active. Everything on this site is educational and is not a substitute for medical care.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top will change and material changes will be announced on the site. Effective date: 6 August 2026.
