Gentle Cardamom Sip

One or two crushed cardamom pods steeped in warm water and sipped slowly.

Overview

One or two green cardamom pods are lightly crushed, steeped in a cup of hot water for a few minutes and sipped slowly. A very mild preparation suitable when the stomach feels sensitive.

Minimum age: 36 months.

Safety essentials

One of the mildest options here, but it does not address the cause. Severe pain, vomiting blood or black stools require urgent medical care.

  • Anyone allergic to cardamom

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Culinary amounts are customary in pregnancy.

Children: Give a weak, cooled version in small amounts to children over 3.
