Neem & Turmeric Face Paste
A thin paste of neem and turmeric applied briefly to blemish-prone skin.
Also known as: Neem haldi lep
Overview
Neem powder or fresh neem paste is mixed with a small amount of turmeric and water into a thin paste, applied to affected areas only, left for about ten minutes and rinsed off with cool water.

Occasional spot use on blemish-prone skin.

Minimum age: 144 months.
Safety essentials
Patch test first, keep it well away from the eyes, and expect temporary yellow staining from turmeric. Painful, deep or spreading acne needs a doctor.
Who should avoid it
- People with dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin
- People on prescription acne medicines
- Anyone allergic to neem or turmeric
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: External use only and briefly; neem should not be taken internally in pregnancy.
Children: Not suitable for young children.
Stop and seek medical care if
- Burning or blistering
- Facial swelling
- Skin that becomes raw or peels
- Spreading, painful acne
